HARRISVILLE William M. Tupper, 74, 8067 Washington St., died Friday afternoon at St. Josephs Hospital in Syracuse, where he had been a patient for several days.
Born in Pierrepont, NY on September 12, 1938, the son of Roswell & Edith Spicer Tupper. He married Linda ODonnell on June 30th, 1960. He served in the United States Army from 1961-1963 and was employed by St. Josephs Mining Co from 1962 until his retirement in 1992. Mr. Tupper enjoyed hunting, gardening, canning and the time he spent with his family and friends.
Besides his wife, Linda, he is survived by his children; Sarita Tupper and her companion, David Olley, Susan and her companion Jody Thomas and Joseph Tupper and his wife, Vicky. Also surviving are his siblings; Floyd & Patricia Cameron, Cleveland, NY, Laura Washburn, Oklahoma, Carol Elliott, Macomb, Betty Elliott, Macomb, Harold Richard & Debra Tupper, Gouverneur and Margaret Johnson, Hermon, 8 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased by his parents, a brother, Bernard Ike Tupper and a niece, Tonya Jane Elliott.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 5th at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of the Lundy Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Inc., 500 State St., Carthage. Burial will follow in Sand Hill Cemetery, Natural Bridge. Calling hours will be held at the Funeral Home on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the funeral home to cover final expenses.
