SYRACUSE — The Syracuse University football team has received the American Football Coaches Association Academic Achievement Honorable Mention Award.

Syracuse is one of 47 institutions in the nation that graduated at least 75 percent of its football student-athletes.

The Orange has been recognized eight of the last nine years, and 21 times overall since the award’s inception in 1981.
