CARTHAGE — Village police allege that a nurse stole $50 from a petty cash box at the Carthage Area Hospital family medical clinic on North Mechanic Street.

Melissa J. Lashway, 33, of 600 S. Washington St., Apt. 65, was charged Tuesday with petit larceny in a theft that occurred Nov. 21, police said. She is ordered to appear in Village Court.
