CANTON — St. Lawrence University freshman women’s hockey player Abbey McRae was chosen as the ECAC Hockey Rookie of the Month for November by the league’s coaches.

McRae scored six goals, including two power-play goals and one game-winner. She had her first hat trick against Yale and closed November with a plus-eight rating.

Others who were nominated were: Yale’s Janelle Ferrara, Clarkson’s Shannon MacAulay, Harvard’s Emerance Maschmeyer, Colgate’s Ashlynne Rando, Dartmouth’s Laura Stacey and Cornell’s Taylor Woods.

Clarkson junior Erica Howe was named the Goaltender of the Month. Howe went 6-1 and had a .940 save percentage.
