Watertown- The funeral service for Marjorie E. Daly will be Monday, December 10, 2012, 7pm at the Reed & Benoit Funeral Home, Inc. with Father Richard Kennedy officiating. Calling hours will precede the service from 5pm - 7pm. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.

Mrs. Daly passed away Wednesday morning at the Samaritan Medical Center where she had been a patient for a short time. She was 83.

Marjorie was born October 23, 1929, a daughter of Carl and Marjorie Cummings Nellis. She was educated locally. On September 22, 1947, she married James E. Daly at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church, Watertown. Mr. Daly passed on December 13, 2010.

Marjorie enjoyed bowling, gardening, traveling and golf. Mr. and Mrs. Daly were avid Watertown Wizards baseball fans and attended all home games as well as many away games. They also attended many New York Yankee baseball games in New York and Toronto.

Among her survivors are a daughter and her companion: Peggy Farmer and Hoyt Reff, Watertown; a sister-in-law: Freda Nellis, Canada; a brother-in-law: Robert Holland, Watertown; 2 grandchildren: Andrew Farmer, Watertown, Matthew Daly, California; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her husband, she is predeceased by a brother Carl Nellis, a sister, Mary Holland, a son, Michael Daly, and a son-in-law, Paul Farmer.

Donations may be made in her to name to the American Cancer Society, or to a charity of one’s own choosing.
