Mary Louise Lydon, 93, NYS Rt. 37, Watertown, passed away Thursday morning, December 6, 2012, at her home.
A funeral mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church on Monday, December 10, at 11AM with Rev. John Yonkovig, pastor of St. Agnes Church, Lake Placid, and Rev. Richard Kennedy co-officiating. There will be no calling hours and arrangements are with Cummings Funeral Service, Inc., Watertown.
Mrs. Lydon was born in Dayton, OH on January 17, 1919, daughter of William J. and Florence H. Madden Teubner. She graduated from Villa-Julienne High School, Dayton. She married Robert J. Bob Lydon on July 18, 1942 at St. Marys Church, Alexandria, VA.
She had worked for a short time as a clerk and stenographer for the Corp of Engineers in Washington DC and for the American Red Cross Disaster Services, Alexandria, VA. Mary Lou was a homemaker and a volunteer at Mercy Hospital. She had attended Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church, a former member of its Altar & Rosary Society, and a former director of religious education.
Besides her husband, Bob, she is survived by her six children and their spouses, John R. and Betsy Lydon, Syracuse, Patrick D. and Ann Lydon, Webster, Christine and Paul Zoltowski, Spencer, Terrance J. and Leone Lydon, Northport, FL, Bonnie and Michael Yonkovig, Henderson Harbor, and Matthew J. and Constance Connie Lydon, Hamburg; and nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
