PETIT LARCENY - MASSENA - Village police charged Dennis J. Burns, 37, of 946 County Route 27, Oswegatchie, and Ronald J. Dancause, 45, of 1920 County Route 27, Russell, with petit larceny at 7:07 p.m. Monday following an alleged shoplifting incident at Walmart. Dancause reportedly walked past the last point of sale without paying for four undisclosed items, while Burns was in possession of a headlamp flashlight, sunglassesm, a filet knife and two pairs of MX gloves. Police said the value of Burns’ merchandise was $112.48. Both men were released on appearance tickets for Jan. 8 in Massena Village Court.



STOP SIGN - MASSENA - Village police ticketed Nancy S. Perry, 26, of Massena for a stop sign violation following a traffic stop at 4:30 p.m. Monday on Grove Street near Ridgewood Avenue.



INADEQUATE EXHAUST - MASSENA - Village police ticketed John M. Sardegna, 69, of Massena for operation of a vehicle with an inadequate exhaust following a traffic stop at 1:04 p.m. Monday on Maple Street.
