PORT LEYDEN — A Port Leyden man on Thursday was jailed without bail on a charge of predatory sexual assault against a child.

State police charged Frank J. Mann, 50, with the class A-2 felony, and he was arraigned in Lowville Town Court and sent to Lewis County jail, Lowville.

Mann was accused of engaging in sexual intercourse with a child under the age of 11.

The investigation was conducted in conjunction with Oneida County and Lewis County Child Protective Services and the Lewis County district attorney’s office.

The alleged victim has been offered services through the Oneida County Child Advocacy Center, police said.
