I’m outraged that President Obama is not only holding excessively lavish inauguration parties, but also accepting money from corporations to pay for it. This is an insult to Americans struggling just to keep body and soul together and a roof over their heads.

Our president (and he is “my” president) should have to answer to every American who is doing the best he or she can and still going without things like hot water, presentable clothing, adequate gas for necessities, etc., while he plans a party that does nothing but create “deals” between him and contributors.

He needs to know that this is completely inappropriate in such hard times for the people, and we won’t take it lying down.

Please, folks, flood his office with protests and insist that he scale back these plans and reject the money from corporations. To get his contact info, put “contact pres” in your search line. Write him online and call him. Let’s see how responsive he is when the people rise up and tell him he’s making a serious error in judgment. Be courteous, brief, and don’t make threats. It helps to write down what you want to say on the phone, so you don’t get flustered.
