This is in response to the article that appeared Dec. 7 that contained town board member Cliff Schneiders dismay over BP donating money to the food pantry.
I am outraged and saddened that anyone would be anything but appreciative for the much needed funding for those less fortunate. Over 30 families in the Cape use the food pantry, and I am sure each of them is most grateful to BP and other groups, such as the Lions Club that donate to this cause.
I truly hope Mr. Schneider never feels hungry and that his family never has to look to others to help him out in time of need.
It is especially disturbing that an elected member of our town board finds it acceptable to publicly denounce BPs gift to the food pantry.
The famously known Scrooge doesnt come close to defining Mr. Schneiders pompous attitude and disregard for the needy amongst us during this holiday season.
