A Watertown resident was charged by police with second-degree harassment after allegedly grabbing a woman’s arm and slamming her to the ground.

According to police, David A. Gough Jr., 42, of 24480 Route 12, Apartment 122, attacked Margaret C. Pickard at her residence, 137 Central St., on Dec. 2.

Arrested at his residence at 8:11 p.m. Friday, he was taken to the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building pending arraignment in City Court.

Mr. Gough was charged Dec. 9 with violating a court order of protection held by Ms. Pickard by contacting her by phone that day.
