MADRID Tessa Knight drove the length of the court and scored the game-winning basket in the final 10 seconds to give Madrid-Waddington a 42-41 victory over St. Lawrence Central in a Northern Athletic Conference North Division girls basketball game Wednesday.
Jen King led the Yellow Jackets with 12 points and four assists. Olivia Parmeter scored 11 points and Katie Marcellus added nine points and nine rebounds for Madrid-Waddington (5-0 overall, 3-0 division).
Lindsey Thayer led the Larries with 17 points and 16 rebounds. Breanna Vatter scored 11 points, and Caitlin Grow grabbed 21 rebounds and blocked six shots for St. Lawrence Central (2-3, 2-2).
SOUTH JEFFERSON 50, GENERAL BROWN 27
Austin Stevens registered a double-double, and Clarissa Perry scored 15 points on five 3-pointers, as the Spartans won a Frontier League B Division game in Adams
Stevens finished with a game-high 17 points and 10 rebounds for South Jefferson (5-0). Marisa Clark added nine points and Brooke VanCoughnett provided five assists and four steals.
Rhea Pitkin and Monica Makuch scored eight points apiece to lead General Brown (2-3).
BOYS BASKETBALL
ST. REGIS FALLS 68, TUPPER LAKE 36
Caleb Green scored 24 points as the Saints (7-0, 4-0) defeated the Lumberjacks in an interdivision game in Tupper Lake.
Corey LaBounty, Brandon Votra and Louis Goodrow each scored 10 points for the Saints.
Mitch Keniston tallied 10 points for Tupper Lake (4-2, 2-2).
CHATEAUGAY 63, BRUSHTON-MOIRA 38
Seth Young scored 30 points to lead the Bulldogs past the Panthers in an interdivision game in Brushton.
Noah Bowes and Devon Barnes each scored 10 points for the Bulldogs (4-3, 3-1).
Adam Martin, Justin Lavarnway and Zach Burnett scored 12 points apiece for Brushton-Moira (3-2, 2-1).
SOUTH JEFFERSON 53, GENERAL BROWN 30
Tom Bassett hit four 3-pointers and finished with 18 points, and Jake Worden provided 17 points, as the undefeated Spartans earned a Frontier League B Division victory in Dexter.
Worden also pulled down 10 rebounds for South Jefferson (6-0, 5-0), and Jordan Schloop added 10 points.
Colin Lutz led General Brown (0-7, 0-6) with six points and three steals.

GOUVERNEUR 56, CANTON 21
The Wildcats (3-0) recorded eight wins by pinfall during a Northern Athletic Conference victory in Gouverneur.
Justin Garrison (182 pounds), Hunter Ayen (195), Mike Mandigo (285), Joey Bush (113), Dillon Stowell (126), Zach Ayen (138), Joey Love (145) and Rob Bell (152) each won by pin for Gouverneur.
Thomas Lumbard (220), Jared Caskinette (160) and Nate Moose (170) recorded pins for Canton (1-2).
OFA 66, CLIFTON-FINE 0
The Blue Devils used eight pins to shut out Clifton-Fine (0-3) in a Northern Athletic Conference match in Ogdensburg.
Nate Sarkin (285 pounds) recorded the quickest pin for the Blue Devils (3-0), winning his match in just 21 seconds. OFAs other pins came from: Brody Sheppard (113), Nate Murdock (152), Josh Wangler (132), Glynn Breen (138), Bailey Phelps (145), Cody Allen David (160) and Justin Pratt (170).
BOYS SWIMMING
INDIAN RIVER 90, GOUVERNEUR 45
Zach Koerick, Ethan Klock and Jared Chant each won two races and contributed to a pair of first-place relays as the Warriors claimed a Frontier League interdivision victory on Tuesday at Philadelphia.
Koerick captured the 200 individual medley and 100 breaststroke, while Klock took the 100 butterfly and 100 backstroke. Chant added wins in the 200 and 500 freestyle for Indian River (2-2).
Alex Deon won the 50 free for Gouverneur (0-4).
