■ HENDERSON — The Town Council will hold its next meeting at 7 p.m. Jan. 23. Following that, the council will hold its regular meetings on the second Wednesday of every month.

■ WATSON — The Pine Grove Community Church Preservation Society will hold a Christmas candle-lighting service at 7 p.m. Sunday in its historic church at Pine Grove and Austin roads in the town of Watson. A free-will offering will be collected, and light refreshments will be served afterward.
