A manager of three apartment complexes has been indicted on 239 counts alleging she made false entries on bank deposit slips to cover up thefts of cash.
Katherine Burch, 49, of 15624 County Route 156, is charged with a single count of third-degree grand larceny and 119 counts each of first-degree falsifying business records and fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property.
The charges were contained in a grand jury indictment handed up Thursday in Jefferson County Court.
It is alleged that starting in January 2011 and continuing until September 2011 she made false entries on deposit slips on behalf of Two Plus Four Management, Syracuse, owners of Kelsey Creek Apartments, 1206 Superior St., and Washington Courts Apartments and Carthage Apartments II on Washington Street in Carthage.
Police alleged in November 2011 that she failed to send in more than $30,000 in rent payments due to the management company.
