Motorists accused of DWI

The following were charged with driving while intoxicated and related offenses:

n Anthony R. Hamilton, 21, of 25202 Freeman Creek Road, Rodman, was charged by Jefferson County sheriff’s deputies at 2:31 a.m. Dec. 15 on Route 11 in the town of Watertown. He was listed with a blood alcohol content of 0.15 percent. A BAC of 0.08 percent or more is considered proof of intoxication under state law.

n Lindsey J. Reed, 30, of 12 Main St., Antwerp, was charged at 2:50 a.m. Dec. 15 by Jefferson County sheriff’s deputies with aggravated DWI after she was stopped on Route 11 in the town of Antwerp for allegedly weaving across the road. Her BAC was listed as 0.18 percent. Aggravated DWI is charged when the BAC is 0.18 percent or more.

n Ryan A. Jessen, 21, Fort Drum, was charged by Watertown police with aggravated DWI at 12:40 a.m. Friday in the 100 block of South Orchard Street. Police said he had a breath-test result of 0.21 percent BAC. He also was cited with speeding at 53 mph in a 30-mph zone and making an unsafe lane change.

n Lyndin M. Cowles, 23, of 667 Mill St., Apt. J8, was charged by Watertown police at 3:57 a.m. Dec. 15 in the 200 block of East Lynde Street. Also charged with aggravated unlicensed driving, he refused to take a breath test at the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building, police said.

n Michael W. Wright, 41, of 9 Maynard St., Potsdam, was charged by state police at 11 p.m. Dec. 15 after he was stopped for failure to keep right on Main Street, Massena, police said. His BAC was 0.13 percent, they said.

n Matthew R. Scott, 22, of 6764 Route 56, Potsdam, also was charged by state police with operating a vehicle without insurance and operating with a suspended registration at 1:19 a.m. Sunday on Spring Street, Potsdam. His BAC was 0.13 percent, police said.

n Scott T. Tucker, 45, Fulton, was charged at 7:50 p.m. Sunday by Jefferson County sheriff’s deputies with felony DWI and stopping on the highway in the northbound lane of Interstate 81 in the town of Pamelia. His BAC was listed as 0.17 percent. He was charged with a felony because he was convicted of DWI in 2007 in Fulton, deputies said.

Charged with driving while ability impaired by alcohol or drugs:

n Blaine P. Durbin, 24, of 135 Spring Ave., was charged by Watertown police at 12:38 a.m. Dec. 15 in the 400 block of Factory Street after an alleged offense in the 100 block of Mill Street. He also is accused of failure to signal a turn and refusing to take a breath test.
