LOWVILLE Two sentencing hearings were held Friday in Lewis County Court.
Daniel P. Nentwick, 22, Fayetteville, was sentenced to 1½ years in state prison on a charge of fifth-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance, to which he pleaded guilty Nov. 20.
He also was recommended for the state prison systems 90-day Willard Drug Rehabilitation Program, which allows inmates who successfully complete it to serve the remainder of their prison sentences under parole supervision.
Mr. Nentwick was accused of selling hallucinogenic mushrooms at the moe.down music festival in mid-August in Turin.
Nicholas J. Compo, 30, of 119 Spring Ave., Watertown, following successful completion of Drug Court, was allowed to withdraw a felony aggravated driving while intoxicated charge and plead guilty to misdemeanor aggravated DWI. He then was sentenced to probation, a $2,500 fine, an 18-month drivers license revocation and mandatory participation in the ignition interlock program.
Mr. Compo was stopped Jan. 28, 2011, on Salmon River Road in the town of Montague.
