BRASHER FALLS Kody Kocsis tallied two goals and an assist as the St. Lawrence Central hockey team beat Norwood-Norfolk, 5-3, in the finals of the St. Lawrence Christmas tournament Saturday afternoon at the Tri-Town Arena.
Luke Arquiett, Devin Euto and Parker Meashaw all scored for the Larries (4-1 overall). Nathan McLaughlin turned away 25 shots in net.
Kaden Pickering bagged a pair of goals for the Flyers (4-3).
ISLANDERS 1, SARANAC 0 (OT)
Sean Sheppard scored with 15.8 seconds left in the overtime period to give the Islanders a win in the consolation game in the St. Lawrence tournament over the Chiefs.
Chris Strough made 20 saves for the shutout for the Islanders (3-3). Evan Dier and Kyle Delaney assisted on the game-winning goal.
ESSEX JUNCTION 3, CANTON 0
The Hornets scored three goals in a six-minute span as they blanked the Bears in Essex, Vt.
Tom Sobe, Steve Morse and Jack Cadanau scored for Essex Junction.
Canton dropped to 2-5.

SPARTANS WIN TOurNEY
South Jeffersons Daniel Smith (170 pounds) won the tournaments most outstanding wrestler award to help pace the Spartans to a 4-0 record and a first-place finish in the Baldwinsville Holiday Tournament.
Jared Carroll (99), Jon Crast (132) and Trevor Cowles (160) were also undefeated in their respective weight classes for South Jefferson.
