Tickets are now on sale for the February show Sesame Street Live: Elmo Makes Music at Syracuses Landmark Theatre.
The show, produced by Sesame Workshop, runs from Feb. 22 through Feb. 24 at the theater, 361 S. Salina St. Besides Elmo, it features Abby Cadabby, Big Bird and their Sesame Street friends.
The shows plot involves Jenny, an enthusiastic new music teacher who arrives on Sesame Street only to discover that her instruments are missing. Jennys new Muppet friends quickly come to the rescue and discover instruments they never knew existed, such as rubber ducks, trash can lids and cookie jars.
Producers say that through the razzle-dazzle of this Broadway-quality musical, children learn about patience, acceptance and teamwork.
Elmo Makes Music features nearly two dozen songs, including classics that children will love to sing along with, such as C Is for Cookie and The Alphabet Song.
Adults will recognize such songs as The Hustle, You Should Be Dancing and Rockin Robin.
Sesame Workshop produces local Sesame Street programs, seen in more than 150 countries, and other acclaimed shows, such as The Electric Company, to help bridge the literacy gap.
Show times for Sesame Street Live Elmo Makes Music: 7 p.m. Feb. 22; and 11:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. Feb. 23 and Feb. 24. Ticket prices are $15 and $20. A limited number of $25 Gold Circle seats and $50 Sunny Seats are available. A facility fee of $1.50 will be added to all ticket prices
