Amanda S. Johnson, 31, of 29822 Route 3, Lot 10, was charged Friday night by a Jefferson County deputy sheriff with attempted petit larceny at Walmart Supercenter, outer Arsenal Street.

She is accused of attempting to steal merchandise priced at $159.82 shortly after 7 p.m., according to the sheriff’s office.

She is ordered to appear in town of Watertown Court.
