GOUVERNEUR — Julia J. Weller, 16, of 91 Main St., Richville, was charged by state police with criminal possession of a weapon at 3:20 p.m. Friday.

Ms. Weller was being interviewed by state police regarding an unrelated case and was found to be in possession of a throwing star, troopers said.

She is scheduled to appear in Gouverneur Town Court.
