GOUVERNEUR – Thelma M. Moe, 85, passed away Friday, December 21, 2012 at the E.J. Noble Hospital, Gouverneur.

There are no calling hours, and a funeral mass will be held Thursday, December 27th at 2:00 pm at St. James Catholic Church, Gouverneur with Fr. Stephen Rocker officiating and spring burial in New St. James Cemetery, Gouverneur. Arrangements are with the Green Funeral Home, Gouverneur.

Thelma was born November 26, 1927 in Canton, the daughter of Frederick and Elva Ward Lawrence.

She grew up in Talcville and married Arthur Moe on December 24, 1945.

Thelma was a homemaker and a member of the Gouverneur VFW Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed bowling, bingo, cooking, and baking.

Thelma is survived by three daughters Barbara Sanders and her companion Larry Melillo of Gouverneur, Linda and Scott Rumble of Gouverneur, Tammy and David Tilloston of Pittsford, two sons Artie and Lisa Moe of North Carolina, Michael Moe of Gouverneur, several grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is also survived by a sister Elva “Punki” Pritty of Gouverneur, a brother Fred Lawrence of Brasher Falls, several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her husband Arthur, a daughter Patsy Boney, two brothers Harold and Earl Kelsey.
