Irene M. Ginger, 89, died peacefully on Sunday morning, December 23, 2012, at Samaritan Keep Home. She formerly lived at 741 Cadwell St. and had resided at Angels Inn for three years.
Graveside committals will be in Glenwood Cemetery at the convenience of the family. There will be no calling hours and arrangements are with Cummings Funeral Service, Inc., Watertown.
Mrs. Ginger was born in Freeland, PA on May 4, 1923, daughter of Michael and Anna Adams. She grew up in Deferiet and graduated from Carthage High School. She married John J. Ginger on July 29, 1942 at St. Ritas Church, Deferiet, and he died on October 26, 1991.
Irene was a homemaker and was a communicant of Holy Family Church. She enjoyed bowling and was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.
She is survived by her two sons, Ronald S. and wife, Barbara, Ginger, N. Syracuse and Theodore Ted Ginger and companion, Cynthia Collins, Dexter; her daughter, Elaine Marie Ginger, Oakland, CA; her granddaughter, Kimberly Ann Ginger, NYC; her sister, Marie Pais, Deferiet; and numerous nieces and nephews.
