Local 4-H youths and the Tractor Supply Co., Arsenal Street, have won a “Class Champion” award for meeting company goals during the 4-H/TSC fall 2012 paper clover promotion.

The youths, with help from Cornell Cooperative Extension of Jefferson County, and store employees helped raise $477 for youths in Jefferson County during the 12-day promotion in September. The nationwide campaign benefits 4-H programs in communities where a Tractor Supply Company store is located.

The fall campaign raised a total of $498,000 for 4-H groups throughout the state and nation.

Through the Watertown campaign, 20.2 percent of all Tractor Supply Company transactions included a 4-H Paper Clover purchase.
