Gerald D. Burnette, 73, of Gerrardstown, WV, went to join our Lord on Thursday, December 20, 2012.

Born October 5, 1939 in Asheboro, NC, he was the son of the late Robin H. Burnette and Marjorie W. Burnette.

He is survived by his wife Sandra Winters Burnette, of Gerrardstown and son Douglas Burnette of Woodbridge, VA and one brother Michael of Ayden, NC and two sisters Robin Ward of Greensboro, NC and Mary Burnette of Raleigh, NC and many nieces and nephews.

He was retired from the U.S. Army. Funeral services will be held in the spring at Quantico National Cemetery in Quantico, VA.
