■ BROWNVILLE — The Town of Brownville Joint Fire District will hold its organizational meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Fire Hall, 121 Brown Blvd.

■ DEKALB JUNCTION — DeKalb Junction United Methodist Church will offer free soup, chili and hot dogs from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday as a thank-you to the community.

■ DEFERIET — The village Board of Trustees will hold a public hearing to discuss its property maintenance law at 6 p.m. Jan. 9 at the Village Hall, followed by its monthly meeting. The board will return in February to its regular schedule of meeting on the first Wednesday of the month.
