Darcy A. Engel, Massena, and Michael A. Bert, Carlisle, Pa., were married at 4 p.m. Oct. 1 at St. Patrick’s Church, York, Pa., with the Rev. Samuel Houser officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Joseph and Sherry Engel, Massena. The groom is the son of Abram and Kas Bert, Carlisle. The bride was given in marriage by her father.

The reception was held at Valencia Ballroom in York.

Mrs. Bert graduated in 2003 from Massena Central School and in 2007 from the University at Buffalo, with a bachelor’s degree in studio art and theater. She is head of props for “The Addams Family” national tour with Phoenix Entertainment.

Mr. Bert graduated in 2001 from Carlisle Area High School and in 2005 from Messiah College, Mechanicsburg, Pa., with a bachelor’s degree in theater. He is head electrician for “The Addams Family” touring production of Phoenix Entertainment.
