Watertown police charged Travis L. Peterkin, 43, most recently of 24480 Route 12, Apt. 107, town of Watertown, on Saturday with second-degree burglary and fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property.
He is accused of breaking into a Barben Avenue home earlier in the week and taking a jug containing $87.50 in change and a bottle of wine.
Mr. Peterkin already was in the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building on charges of third-degree assault, resisting arrest and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance after he allegedly attacked an officer Dec. 29, police said.
In that incident, Mr. Peterkin punched Officer Matthew J. Dawley three or four times in the face and later was found carrying 21 oxycodone pills, police said. He was being held on $5,000 bail.
