THERESA Jefferson County sheriffs deputies charged two people Saturday with criminal contempt following a domestic dispute.
Anthony I. DeJesus, 20, of 123 S. Rutland St., Watertown, was charged early Saturday with first-degree criminal contempt, a felony, second-degree menacing and two counts of second-degree harassment.
Deputies said he violated the terms of an order of protection by grabbing and pushing his wife, Haley M. DeJesus, 19, of 33452 County Route 18, Theresa, early Tuesday on Route 37 in the town of Theresa. He also is accused of punching and pushing Louis A. Alteri, 20, and threatening him with a semiautomatic pistol early Saturday at Mrs. DeJesuss residence.
Mrs. DeJesus was charged Saturday morning with second-degree criminal contempt. She is accused of a violating a stay-away order of protection by calling and texting Mr. DeJesus on Saturday morning.
Both were arraigned before Theresa Town Justice Roger K. Duvall. She was being held at Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building, Watertown, on $750 bail and he was being held on $2,000 bail.
