LOWVILLE – Elizabeth O. Benedict, 91, of Brookside Circle, died Thursday evening, January 3, 2013 at Lewis County General Hospital.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 6, 2013 at Iseneker Funeral Home, Inc., Lowville with Rev. Billie Jean Melton, Pastor of Turin United Methodist Church, and Pastor Joan Ripp, officiating. Spring burial will be in the Turin Cemetery. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Turin United Methodist Church, in c/o Betty Black, 3861 Payne Road, Turin, NY 13473, or a Charity of one’s choice.

She is survived by six children and their spouses, Joan E. Ward of Old Forge, Jean and Frederick Beck of Lyons Falls, Judith Ann and Lansing Boutwell of Charlotte, NC, David Miles and Donna Benedict of Port Leyden, Linda and Frederick Rivette of Turin, Ruth Ann and Robert Earl of Turin; 18 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, a great-great granddaughter, and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She is predeceased by a son, Joseph Miles Benedict, and brothers and sisters.
