LOWVILLE Kyle Malik scored 22 points and Lowville outscored Lyme by 12 points in the second half Friday night to earn a 54-51 Frontier League boys basketball crossover victory.
Brian OConnor contributed 15 points for the Red Raiders (4-4 overall, 3-4 league), who trailed 28-19 at halftime. The Red Raiders outscored the Indians, 35-23, after the break.
Troy Wilson led Lyme (7-3, 6-3) with 20 points and Timmy Morrow added 11.
SANDY CREEK 68, SACKETS HARBOR 50
Zach Halsey and Matt Ennist both recorded double-doubles to lead the Comets to a crossover win at Sackets Harbor.
Halsey scored 16 points and grabbed 10 rebounds, while Ennist had 15 points and 15 rebounds for Sandy Creek (5-4).
Reis Harding added 12 points and Tyler Swarthout 11 as the Comets overcame a seven-point halftime deficit.
Zach Rousseau led the Patriots (5-5, 4-5) with 23 points, Josh Keruski had 12 and Eric Chrostowski 10.
THOUSAND ISLANDS 68, LAFARGEVILLE 44
Freshman Quincy Aubertine registered a double-double, scoring 29 points and grabbing 16 rebounds, as the Vikings downed the Red Knights in a crossover game at LaFargeville.
Reed Donnelly added 13 points for Thousand Islands (8-2).
Eric Doolittle paced LaFargeville (1-8) with 11 points.
SOUTH LEWIS 74, COPENHAGEN 57
Jason Martin scored 26 points and added five assists to lead the Falcons to a crossover victory over the Golden Knights at Copenhagen.
Matt Mooney provided 18 points and eight rebounds for South Lewis (7-4), which has won seven straight after an 0-4 start.
Antonio Figueroa scored a game-high 29 points for Copenhagen (4-6).
HOCKEY
WEST GENESEE 7, IHC 0
Corey Raaflaub finished with two goals and two assists to help power the Wildcats to a Section 3 interdivision victory over the Cavaliers (1-6-1, 1-4-1) at Camillus.
David Procopio chipped in with two goals and one assist, and Matt McDonald registered four assists for West Genesee (6-4-1, 5-2-0).
BOYS SWIMMING
CARTHAGE 84, BEAVER RIVER 67
Andrew Benson and Dylan Sweeney each captured two races and contributed to a pair of fastest relays to help power the Comets to a Frontier League interdivision victory over the Beavers on Thursday at Carthage.
Benson won the 50- and 500-yard freestyles, while Sweeney took the 200 free and 100 backstroke for Carthage (2-4).
Nick Grunert claimed the 100 breaststroke for Beaver River (1-4).
