POTSDAM — Robert S. Webb, 50, of 4967 Route 58, Gouverneur, was charged with sexual abuse Thursday by St. Lawrence County sheriff’s investigators.

Webb, a registered sex offender for a previous offense, allegedly had sexual contact with a child under the age of 13 in the town of Potsdam last summer.

He was taken to St. Lawrence County jail, Canton, and held on $15,000 bail.
