LOWVILLE — Lewis County sheriff’s deputies on Sunday charged Jacklyn D. Plantz, 25, of 216 Clinton St., Carthage, with second-degree harassment and disorderly conduct stemming from an alleged altercation on North State Street.

Ms. Plantz was accused of slapping another woman, whom deputies did not identify, causing the alleged victim’s glasses to fall off, and with refusing to quiet down when so ordered by police.

She is to answer the charges in Village Court.
