Lisbon Rallies Past Morristown


MORRISTOWN - Adam Felt hit two three-pointers in the fourth quarter to erase a five-point deficit as Lisbon (6-4, 4-3 West) rallied for a 48-45 NAC West Division win at Morristown.

Felt finished with 15 for the Knights who saw a 28-18 halftime lead dispersed by Morristown’s 18-9 third quarter. Jimmy Robinson produced a 14 point effort while Matt Williard and Jake Putney added six and five. Ryan Buckley added four.

Ryan Vollmer scored 13 points to pace Morristown (2-7, 1-6 NAC West). Devin Dulmage tallied 10 while Bobby Simmons and Dakota Marshall each added nine. Zach Kanaly hit a three.

In the junior varsity game, Morristown pulled off a 44-43 overtime victory despite 11-33 foul shooting when Jacob Fox hit a pair of free throws with three seconds left. Fox generated 26 points while Jake VanArnam added 10. Tyler Delosh added four timely points.

Alex Gravlin and Donnie Duprey each scored 13 for Lisbon (7-14 from foul line). Jordyn Carr added eight while Adam Kelley chipped in seven.

Harrisville 72, H-D 41: The Pirates bolted out to a 21-4 first quarter lead gearing up for Friday’s rematch with undefeated Edwards-Knox which handed the Cougars their only NAC West loss of the season.

“We have improved a lot since we played them the first time. Our freshmen aren’t playing like freshmen anymore and our seniors Nick Weir and Joe Butts are just doing a tremendous job leading our defense,” said Harrisville Coach Brian Coloney.

Butts and Weir also scored 17 and 16 points against H-D while freshman Nick Weaver also struck for 16 points.

Zach Robinson led H-D with 23 points and Steve Gilbert tallied 12.

E-K 102, C-F 16: Kaden Dandrow tallied 18 points for E-K (9-0, 7-0). Tyler Sharpsteen added 17 while Chris Davison and Tyler Tresidder each scored 13. Abe White worked off the bench for 12 while Brent Archer and Nick Wolfe each tallied nine.

Joel Stiller scored seven for C-F.

Tupper Lake 62, M-W 57 2OT: At Tupper Lake, the (6-4, 3-3 NAC North) Jackets lost the services of point guard Colin O’Bryan early in the first half due to a dislocated knee and the Lumberjacks (6-4, 4-2 NAC North) prevailed after Mitch Keniston (23 points) tied the game at 51-51 in the first overtime and scored the first seven of the second overtime. Anson Gagnier and Brock Tarbox each scored 11 in the victory. Richard Wright paced the Yellowjackets with 22 points. Maurice Rease scored 16 while Jacob Barb Barney and Greg Thompson added 10 and five.

St. Regis 63, B-M 27: Brandon Votra scored 20 points and Corey Labounty tallied 19 points for the Saints (10-0, 6-0) Loren Traynor scored nine and Alex Brunet added eight for B-M (4-4, 3-2).

N-N 63, P-H 35: Brandon Sawyer and Cody Rust delivered 15 points to pace the Flyers. Mike Burns scored 15 points for P-H.


Massena 44 - Malone 36: The Raiders (4-2, 5-4) outscored the Huskies 35-23 over the second and third quarters led by Alisha Jacobs’ game-high 14 points and six steals. Marissa Manley tallied 12 points and 10 boards for her 10th double-double in 11 games.

For Malone (6-3, 3-2), Janelle Heden netted 12 points, Rachel Lamica generated 10 points and eight rebounds and Morgan Fountain tallied eight points, six boards, three blocks and seven steals.
