Evva M. Peck Brasie, 79, passed away Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at Mercy of Northern NY in Watertown.

Calling hours are Saturday, January 12th from 10:00 to 11:00 am with a funeral service at 11:00 am at the Green Funeral Home, Gouverneur with Rev. John Petit, pastor of Living Waters Fellowship of Watertown officiating and burial in East Riverside Cemetery, Gouverneur.

Evva was born in Amsterdam, NY, the daughter of William and Sarah Babcock Peck.

Evva grew up in the Gouverneur area and was a homemaker most of her life, living in Watertown for many years. She was a past member of the Salvation Army in Watertown, a member of Living Waters Fellowship, and enjoyed collecting dolls.

She was previously married to William Brasie.

Evva is survived by three sons Bernard Brasie and his companion Lisa Ferrall of Gouverneur, William Brasie of Gouverneur, David and Laura Brasie of Watertown, a daughter Rose LePonto and her companion Ed Rogers of Watertown, 13 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren. She is also survived by two brothers David Peck of North Carolina, Joseph Peck of Watertown, several nieces and nephews. Evva is predeceased by her parents, a son and a daughter who died in infancy, two brothers Robert and William Peck, two sisters Gertrude Boshane and Edith Killingsworth.

Memorial donations have been requested to be made to Living Waters Fellowship.
