CRARY MILLS – Marshall William Pharoah, 53, of Farnes Road, died unexpectedly at his home on Wednesday, January 9, 2013.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 13th from 5-8 PM at the Lawrence Funeral Home, Canton. In accordance to Marshalls wishes graveside services will be held privately.
Marshall is survived by his wife Merla of Crary Mills; a step-daughter, Sarah Achille of Brasher Falls; two sisters, Victoria Vicky and husband Patrick Oakes of Potsdam and Julia Pomainville and husband Pierre of Crary Mills; two grandchildren, Kaitlyn Smith and Ryanna Achille and two nieces and four nephew.
He was predeceased by his father Walter, who died April 24, 2004.
Marshall was born July 28, 1959 in Canton, NY, the son of Ruth C. and the late Walter J. Pharoah, he graduated Hugh C. Williams and later from Potsdam State.
On October 20, 2001, he married Merla Bushey at the home of his parents in Crary Mills with the Rev. L. Everett Waite as celebrant.
Marshall was a self-employed Contract Engineer. He was previously employed as a software engineer with Mitel in Ogdensburg. He was a member of the Massena Gun Club and the St. Lawrence Power and Equipment Museum. He was also a member of the Richville Masonic Lodge # 633 F & A.M..
He enjoyed hunting, firearms, caring for and managing his property, computers, woodworking and reading.
