CARTHAGE- Marion J. Lang, 71, N. Jefferson St., passed away Thursday afternoon at her residence while under the care of her family and Hospice of Jefferson County.

She was born in the Town of Pitcairn May 12, 1941 to Everett and Florence Ralph McIntosh. She attended Harrisville High School. She married Richard Lang Sr. September 19, 1964 in Deferiet, NY.

She dedicated her life to raising and caring for her family and home. She was a devout Christian. She was an avid NY Yankee’s fan and stout Republican. She enjoyed gardening, yard work, fishing, long walks and spending time with family. She collected angels, baseball cards and other nostalgic items.

She is survived by her husband, five children, Janet and Doug Zehr and Sandra Intorcia, both of Carthage, Sharon Lang, Watertown, Joan and Zachary Miller, Natural Bridge, and Richard Jr. Plattsburg. She also has four brothers, Joe and Lorraine, Calvin, Paul and Nancy, Matt and Judy of Harrisville she is also survived by four grandchildren, Ryan, Morgan, Brandon, and Garrett all and her twin sister, Martha and Bob Shampine, Carthage.

She is predeceased by seven siblings, Eugene, Harold, Roswell, Hank, Georgie June, Evelyn Vrooman, and Janice.

Her funeral will be Sunday at 2PM at the Adirondack Funeral Home, Harrisville with Deacon Richard Staab officiating. Spring burial will be in Garrison Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Sunday from 12- 2 prior to the funeral. Online condolences may be made at
