TURIN — Freshman Quincy Aubertine scored the winning basket on a put-back with one second remaining to lift the Thousand Islands boys basketball team to a 71-69 Frontier League “C” Division victory over South Lewis on Friday night.

Aubertine finished with 27 points, 11 rebounds and eight steals for the Vikings (9-2). Reed Donnelly provided 16 points, Jacob Baldwin scored 13, and Teddy Ebbing added 12 points for Thousand Islands.

For the Falcons, Dylan Marolf supplied 16 points, and Jason Martin recorded 15 points and six assists before fouling out with four minutes left. Shawn Loomis contributed 14 points, and Matt Mooney added 13 points and 10 rebounds for South Lewis (8-5), which saw its eight-game winning streak end.

BEAVER RIVER 61, LOWVILLE 37

Alex Hall led a balanced attack with 12 points as the Beavers downed the Red Raiders in a “C” Division game at Lowville.

Trevor Lehman added 10 points for Beaver River (12-1, 11-1).

Billy O’Connor and Kyle Malik each scored 11 points for Lowville (5-6, 4-6).

SACKETS HARBOR 54, BELLEVILLE HENDERSON 32

Josh Keruski scored 23 points, hitting six 3-pointers, as the Patriots routed the Panthers in a “D” Division game in Sackets Harbor.

Zach Rousseau added 13 points, nine rebounds and six steals for Sackets Harbor (7-5, 6-5).

Trey Countryman and Chris Corbett each scored 10 points for Belleville Henderson (1-11, 1-10).

LYME 49, ALEXANDRIA 43

Troy Wilson scored 23 points and grabbed seven rebounds to help the Indians recover from a two-point third quarter and hold off the Purple Ghosts in a “D” Division game in Chaumont.

Darius Reed added 12 points for Lyme (9-3, 8-3).

Ian Kearns scored 17 points to lead Alexandria (2-8, 3-9).

COPENHAGEN 43, LAFARGEVILLE 40

Antonio Figueroa’s 28 points helped the Golden Knights earn a come-from-behind “D” Division victory over the host Red Knights.

Copenhagen (5-7) trailed by five at halftime and three entering the fourth quarter.

Tim Cramer scored 13 points for LaFargeville (1-10).

GIRLS BASKETBALL

SOUTH JEFFERSON 46, CARTHAGE 31

Austin Stevens scored 14 points and hauled down 11 rebounds as the Spartans beat the Comets in a crossover game at Adams.

Brooke Vancoughnett recorded 10 points, five steals, five assists and four rebounds for South Jefferson (9-0).

Zakiya Saunders led Carthage (5-5, 4-3) with nine points, 12 rebounds and eight assists.

INDIAN RIVER 43, APW 33

Paige Fayette posted 12 points as the Warriors defeated the Rebels in a crossover game at Philadelphia.

Emily Kuba recorded 11 points and 11 rebounds for Indian River (9-2, 7-1), while Lakeisha Barnes had eight points and nine steals.

Kylee Bartlett led all scorers with 15 points for Altmar-Parish-Williamstown (5-7, 4-7).

THOUSAND ISLANDS 55, SOUTH LEWIS 24

Kristin McGraw poured in 20 points, including four 3-pointers, to help guide the Vikings to a “C” Division victory over the Falcons at Clayton.

Alesha Waterman added nine points for Thousand Islands (10-1, 9-1).

Olivia Fitzgerald scored eight points for South Lewis (7-5, 7-4).

BEAVER RIVER 32, LOWVILLE 15

Abigail Cornell recorded eight rebounds and four blocks to help fuel the Beavers to a “C” Division victory at Lowville.

Allison Meyer also pulled down eight rebounds, and Hailie Lehman contributed seven points for Beaver River (2-8).

Anna Platz scored nine points for Lowville (2-6).
