Watertown native Tim McCreadie will be in the starting lineup for tonight’s Chili Bowl championship race at the Tulsa, Okla, Expo Center. McCreadie started 15th in Thursday night’s 25-lap A midget qualifying feature.

McCreadie told reporters following the race that he was pleased to have finished third because he hasn’t had that much success since winning the prestigious race in 2006.

“I’ve been here a few years and my success hasn’t been as good as my failures lately,” he said. “I’m just happy to be up here with these guys.”

McCreadie was referring to winner of the qualifying race Kevin Swindell and runner-up Brad Sweet at the podium.
