PETIT LARCENY - MASSENA - Village police charged Alan G. Bigwarfe, 45, of 3 Clark St., Apt. 6, Massena, charged with petit larceny after turning himself in to village police at 2:30 p.m. Saturday. He is accused of stealing several cases of beer from Laneuville Groceries & Bottle Center, 301 E. Orvis St., where he worked. The store’s owner told police Bigwarfe was drinking beer while at work and then declaring the items as broken cases.

PETIT LARCENY - MASSENA -Village police charged Ruth A. Petra, 55, of 94 Maple St., Lot 20, Massena, with petit larceny at 2:33 p.m. Saturday after police responded to a shoplifting complaint at Wal-Mart.She is accused of shoplifting two shirts, a bra, 13 bottles of nail polish and an 8 gig Sandisc. The merchandise was valued at $146.24. She was releassed on an appearance ticket.

FALSE WRITTEN STATEMENT - MASSENA - Village police charged Sandra A. Paquin, 37, of 733 state Route 37C, Massena, with making a false written statement at 11:50 p.m. Saturday following an investigation into a reported violation of an order of protection in the area of North Main and Center streets.

BENCH WARRANT - MASSENA - Village police picked up Brian J. Snyder, 27, of 1962 County Route 53, Brasher Falls, on a bench warrant at 10:32 p.m. Saturday on North Main Street. He was arraigned by Massena Town Justice Gerald P. Sharlow and was released on his own recognizance.

AGGRAVATED UNLICENSED OPERATION - MASSENA - Village police charged Renee Lynn McGregor, 32, of 11 Tracy St., Massena, with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle at 1:47 p.m. Sunday following a traffic stop on East Orvis Street. She was also ticketed for failure to wear her seatbelt.

UNINSPECTED MOTOR VEHICLE - MASSENA - Village police ticketed several people for operation of vehicles with expired inspection stickers Saturday. They included:

■ Francine Leclerc, 41, of Massena at 10:34 p.m. on Andrews Street.

■ Jason R. Horan, 28, of Massena at 9:58 a.m. on Main Street.

■ Nilia Garzade-Uribe, 44, of Massena at 8:53 a.m. on East Orvis Street.

UNSAFE BACKING - MASSENA - Village police ticketed Perry F. Hayden, 45, of 69 Beach St., Massena, for unsafe backing at 2:51 p.m. Friday following an incident on Beach Street.

STOP SIGN - MASSENA - Village police ticketed Marshall R. Burt, 59, of state Route 37C, Massena, for a stop sign violation at 4:07 p.m. Saturday following a traffic stop on Grove Street near Ridgewood Avenue.
