Watertown police arrested Franshon M. Purvis, Jr., 25, of 166 High St., Friday on a charge of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree.

Mr. Purvis was taken into custody at 419 State St. with what police say were two freestyle rocks of crack cocaine possessed in a manner consistent with drugs possessed for sale.

He was then transported to the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building where he was processed and held on $20,000 cash bail pending arraignment on in City Court.
