OGDENSBURG — Frederic Remington Art Museum Executive Director Edward A. LaVarnway is retiring this year.

Serving as executive director since 2005, Mr. LaVarnway said in a news release Monday that he will stay on until a successor has been selected and brought up to speed.

“I will miss my colleagues and being among the wonderful Remington artworks and archival materials,” he said in a news release. “I want to especially thank the trustees and many museum volunteers who do so much for the institution.”
