LOWVILLE A decision to reinstate suspended South Lewis Central School District teacher Arthur J. McCall could take place at the districts Board of Education meeting this evening.
Mr. McCall, 45, of 5326 Dayan St., who has taught music in the district for 22 years, was placed on administrative leave in September following allegations of the forcible touching of two males, Jarrod A. Hurley, 26, and Douglas M. Tuttle, 17.
The case was adjourned in contemplation of dismissal Dec. 11, despite the objection of Mr. Tuttle.
When Johnson Newspapers tried to learn the status of the dismissal, Village Court Clerk Cheryl A. Defone said, The records are sealed.
When asked who sealed the records or for what reason, Judge Patricia H. Yarina said, Once its sealed, I can make no comment on it.
The district attorneys office said the case has had no activity since the December adjournment in contemplation of dismissal and would be placed on the court calendar at the courts discretion.
School Superintendent Douglas E. Premo said the boards agenda lists the potential reinstatement to be acted on.
If reinstated, Mr. McCall will return to duty Jan. 28.
