CARTHAGE- Bessie M. Delles, 80, of 11685 Zecher Road died Sunday, January 13, 2013 in the Carthage Area Hospital. She was born on October 24, 1932 in West Carthage to John F. and Flossie Shaw Stiner.

She graduated from West Carthage High School in 1951. She married Glenn L. Delles Sr. on January 12, 1966 in Carthage at the St. James Minor. She was a homemaker. He died in 2006.

She is survived by a son, Glenn L. Delles Jr. and his wife Sharon, Carthage; a daughter, Marie Ann Delles, Carthage; and two-grandchildren, Craig and Erica Delles, Carthage; and several nieces.

She was a member of the St. James Catholic Church, Carthage; she also was a member of the American Legion Bassett-Baxter Post #789 Ladies Auxiliary, Carthage. She enjoyed Western Movies and spending time with her grandchildren.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, January 16, 2013 from 2-4pm & 6-8pm at the Scherer Funeral Home which is now the Lundy Funeral Home & Cremation Service Inc., located at 500 State Street in Carthage. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, January 17, 2013 at 10:00am in the Chapel of the Funeral Home with the Deacon Richard J. Staab, officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery in Carthage.
