The following are charged with driving while intoxicated and related offenses:
n Robert J. Busack, 42, of 375 James St., Cape Vincent, was charged by state police Wednesday afternoon with felony DWI and third-degree fleeing police with a vehicle after his vehicle struck a utility pole at Bay and Joseph streets in Cape Vincent. Police said he drove away after troopers responded to a reported domestic fight about 3:30 p.m., and then he had the accident. He was treated at Samaritan Medical Center, and subsequently taken to the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building, with bail set at $5,000 by Cape Vincent Town Justice Colleen M. Knuth.
He is charged with a felony because he was convicted of DWI in 2009 in Otsego County.
n Teddy W. Myers, 36, of 658 Burchard St., Watertown, was arrested by state troopers shortly after 7 p.m. Wednesday at Samaritan Medical Center, and also faces charges of avoiding a traffic control device and criminal possession of a hypodermic instrument. Police said he was involved in an accident at 3:35 p.m. at Seaway Plaza and Route 11 in the town of Pamelia.
n Danielle L. Matthews, 26, Slatington, Pa., was charged by state police with aggravated DWI at 2:02 a.m. Sunday on Route 131 in Louisville. Her blood alcohol content was measured at 0.26 percent, police said. Under state law, a BAC of 0.08 percent or more is considered proof of intoxication. Aggravated DWI is charged when the BAC is 0.18 percent or more. She also was charged with operating an unregistered vehicle.
