Stephen and Brigitte Gruber, Watertown, announce the engagement of their daughter, Stefanie M. Gruber, Liverpool, to Kyle D. Stanbro, Franklinville.

Miss Gruber graduated in 2005 from General Brown Central School, Dexter, and in 2009 from St. John Fisher College, Rochester, with a bachelor’s degree in history and sociology. She is attending Syracuse University, expecting to graduate in May with a juris doctorate. Miss Gruber plans to take the Connecticut bar exam in July.

Mr. Stanbro, son of Ron and Diane Stanbro, Franklinville, graduated in 2005 from Ten Broeck Academy, Franklinville, in 2009 from St. John Fisher College with a bachelor’s degree in corporate finance and in 2011 from the University of Rochester with a master’s degree in finance and corporate accounting. He is a financial analyst with Travelers, Hartford, Conn.

An Aug. 16, 2014, wedding is planned.
