DWI - POTSDAM - Village police charged Eric J. Evans, 23, of Wilmington, Dela., with aggravated driving while intoxicated and ticketed him for failure to wear his seatbelt at 1:56 a.m. Sunday following a traffic stop on Maple Street. Police said the stop was made after an officer noticed the operator of a vehicle traveling on Main Street was not wearing a seatbelt. Evans reportedly had a blood alcohol content of 0.23 percent, nearly three times the legal limit. A blood alcohol content of 0.08 percent constitutes a driving while intoxicate charge and is elevated to the higher count of aggravated DWI when the BAC is o.18 percent or higher.

UNSAFE LANE CHANGE - POTSDAM - Village police ticketed Shawn M. Patrick, 17, of Winthrop for making an unsafe lane change at 3:50 p.m. Sunday following an investigation of a two-vehicle property damage accident on Elm Street.

1550 Patrol dispatched to a two-vehicle property damage accident on Elm Street. Ticket issued.

1925 Patrol responded to a mental health incident. Subject was transported to Claxton Hepburn Medical Center by the New York State Police.

1938 Dispatched Potsdam Rescue to a call.

2036 Patrol assisted a subject.

2222 Patrols responded to a burglar alarm at a local business.
