CANTON — A lightning strike has temporarily sidelined two St. Lawrence County radio stations.

WPAC 98.7 FM and YES FM 96.7 are off the air after a transmitter at Black Lake was struck by lightning Sunday morning, General Manager John Winter said.

A third station, Q Country 102.9 WNCQ FM, is back after a short disruption, Mr. Winter said.

Station officials are rushing to make repairs that will bring the other two stations back on line “as soon as possible,” Mr. Winter said, although he wasn’t sure how long that might take.
