Ralph Pacella, 72, of Loveland passed away on January 16, 2013 at the Aspen House in Loveland. He was born December 25, 1940 in Watertown, NY, to Anthony and Carrie (Adsit) Pacella. In 1958, Ralph graduated from General Brown High School in Dexter, NY. He married Carol LaForty in Dexter on May 29, 1960.

He served in the U.S. Navy from 1960-1963 and then spent 2 years in the Reserves. Before moving to Colorado in 1971, he attended R.I.T. in Rochester, New York. He worked at Kodak from 1963-1991 as a Master Electrician and held a Contractor’s license. Ralph enjoyed bowling, playing horse shoes, cards, and pool, along with boating, camping, and playing softball for Kodak. He loved sports and working in the garage. He especially enjoyed watching his grandchildren as they participated in their various sports activities. He was a “hands on” kind of guy who enjoyed helping his friends and neighbors.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother. He is survived by his loving wife, Carol of Loveland; sons, Ralph, Jr. “Zeke” (Loretta) of Windsor, Randy (Vickie) of Loveland and Ron of Loveland; a daughter, Robin (Matt) Wikum of Greeley; brothers, James (Sue) of Williamsburg, VA and Richard (Barb) of Scottsdale, AZ; sisters, Ann (Pete) Collette of DeFeriet, NY and Toni Roland of Watertown, NY; eleven grandchildren, Ian, Austin, Jay, Taylor, Kyla, Tyler, Dana, Josh, Sean, Devan, and Alec.; along with several nieces and nephews.

Memorial Services will be held 11 am Saturday at Resthaven Funeral Home, followed by a reception in the Resthaven Reception Center. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Ralph’s name to Pathways Hospice in care of Resthaven Funeral Home, 8426 S Hwy 287, Fort Collins, CO 80525.
