Funeral services for Roger E. Ousterhout, age 79 of Ogdensburg will be held on Friday (Jan 25, 2013) at 11:00am at the Fox & Murray Funeral Home with Rev. Laurena Will officiating. Burial will be in the spring at Ogdensburgh Cemetery.
Mr. Ousterhout passed away at his home on Saturday (Jan 19, 2013).
Surviving are four nieces Susan Holmes of Ogdensburg, Donna Ropp & her husband Dave of AZ and Sheila Hatch & her husband Gary of MI and Marilyn Pratt of MI; nephews Jerry Griffin, Rick Holmes & his wife Tammy, Dave Holmes & his wife Bonnie, Jerry Holmes, Thomas Griffin and Terry Griffin all of MI; a sister-in-law Delores Cartwright of MI along with special friends Mike & Sally ODell and Aaron Pray & Tracy Oakes. His wife Pat and four sisters Alma Scott, Alta Forgrave, June Griffin & Joy Ousterhout predeceased him.
Roger was born on March 14, 1933 in Sterling, MI a son of the late Travers & Cora (Kelley) Ousterhout. He graduated high school in Michigan and was enlisted in the US Army from 1954 – 1956. He married Patricia G. Holmes on June 19, 1954 in Sault Ste. Marie. The couple lived in Michigan for many years and then relocated to Ogdensburg where he worked at WSLB Radio as an engineer and also operated his own radio repair business for many years.
He was a member of the Ham radio club and enjoyed computers, conversing with friends and traveling. Memorial contributions can be made to the Ogdensburg Neighborhood Center. Condolences can be shared at www.foxandmurrayfuneralhome.com.
