■ TURIN — The South Lewis Central School District Board of Education will hold a budget meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the middle-high school library.

■ The Roswell P. Flower Memorial Library, 229 Washington St., will have a “Now you’re cooking!” toaster-oven-dessert workshop from 2 to 4 p.m. today. Samples will be provided.

■ POTSDAM — The state comptroller’s office presented SUNY Potsdam’s Office of Human Resources with a Payroll Achievement Award for 2012. The award, which recognizes the efficiency of payroll operations at state agencies, was conferred at a ceremony in December in Albany.
